Terms of Service
Effective August 1, 2026
By using Word Vomit, you’re agreeing to these terms. They’re meant to be plain rather than exhaustive; if something’s unclear, email mattfreitas415@gmail.com.
What this is
Word Vomit is a daily writing app: you write, it tracks your streak and some statistics, and your entries are private unless you deliberately choose otherwise. It’s currently run by one person, not a company with a support team.
Your account
- You need a real, working email address to sign in.
- You’re responsible for whoever has access to that inbox — anyone who can read your sign-in emails can access your account.
- This service isn’t intended for anyone under 13. If you’re between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian’s permission to use it.
Your writing is yours
You own everything you write here, fully. We store it so we can show it back to you and don’t claim any rights to it beyond that. You can export all of it at any time, and delete it at any time.
Acceptable use
Reasonably: don’t use Word Vomit to
- break the law or violate anyone else’s rights,
- try to access another account or bypass the app’s security,
- abuse the service in a way that degrades it for other people (automated sign-up spam, hammering the API, and similar).
We may suspend or terminate an account that does any of the above.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — immediately and permanently, with no recovery window. Export your writing first if you want to keep a copy; there is no grace period after deletion.
No warranty
Word Vomit is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable and to never lose your words, but we can’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we’re not liable for losses arising from its use, to the extent the law allows us to say so.
Changes
We may update these terms or the service itself over time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continuing to use Word Vomit after a change means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [state/country to be specified].
